Love never harms
Love never harms – this was the message of the workshop held on 30 August in Lumen Café Budapest by the Crisis Clinic of the Support Centre for Ukrainian Refugees(UMTK) for refugee women living in our country. Here, psychologist Judit Hirsch spoke to thirty participants about the nature of trauma, while Balázs Rácsok, the director of the social department of Hungarian Interchurch Aid, invited them to reflect on the personal and social perception of abuse. Afterwards, the crisis intervention specialists of the UMTK (Tamara Fiszter, Rebeka Rádi and János Csepregi) presented the operation of the Crisis Clinic and the different channels of assistance – online, by phone or in person – and how they can help the abused. The event – financed by UNHCR – was also attended by its staff.
Let’s fight abuse together!
