Situation Report – 10 October 2023
- During the past 20 months HIA purchased and transported 2,197,874 kg of food, non-food and hygiene items to Ukraine
- HIA has reached 480,551 people so far (for a detailed view, see end of attached report), providing access to basic humanitarian aid, protection activities and other life-saving services in Ukraine and Hungary.
- With the Flexible Small Grants programme HIA reached more than 90,000 people, through 82 FSG organizations
- HIA has finished the construction of the Vynohradiv community shelter in Zakarpattia, capable of housing 150-200 refugees depending on family size.
- Based on the experiences of the previous month’s assistance requests, it is evident that as the winter season approaches, the number of newly arrived Ukrainian families is increasing in Hungary.
